leftover turkey ideas - Page 2

We had turkey salad sandwiches on DH's homemade rosemary garlic bread. Tonight I'm making a cross between Turkey Tetrazzini and Turkey Divan. Tomorrow for breakfast I think we'll probably have a turkey hash. I really need to get my carcass in the crockpot, maybe later tonight

DH knows to save all meat bones of any kind. I learned to make bone broth last year sometime and he loves my soups! (He does more cooking than I do anyway, so he has an appreciation for homemade meals, etc.)

My dad, however, carves our bird each year. He wanted to toss out the carcass!!! DH & I stopped him in time and my carcass is split in two parts/containers sitting in the freezer awaiting my attention. Our crockpot is too small and we weren't home much today to use the stockpot on the stove.

Just today, DH picked us up a new crockpot that has one base and one lid and three different size crocks at a great price! We're both excited!

Turkey noodle soup.

And if we have any turkey left over after tons of sandwiches, I do turkey fajitas. Basically sautee the peppers and onions, then add in the shredded cooked turkey meat... sprinkle with fajita seasoning.... saute a bit more.. and you're good to go.
