Teething?

DD3 has been extremely irritable the past couple of days. I began noticing she is drooling excessively also. This morning after feeding her, I checked her bottom gums. To my amazement, there's what seems like a tooth bud! I am shocked at the possibility of her teething this early. Her sisters never did this. In fact, DD1 was 10 months old before she began teething.

Have any of your babies began teething this early? DD3 is only seven weeks old. She seems to be uncomfortable sometimes and I want to do everything I can to help her. I've also noticed she's using me more and more for a pacifier and teether. We're going out in a few minutes to look at Christmas lights and I plan on stopping to get her a teether as well as anything else that might be suggested.

I noticed tooth buds on my DS when he was 2 mos old, but they didn't break through until he was about 4-5 mos. It's not unheard of for a babe to teethe this early. In DS case, he was a fast and furious teether. He had all his teeth but his two year molars by the time he was one, and those came in by the time he was 15 mos. IT was nice to get it over with.

Well, Veronica is 5 weeks old and I think she might be just starting to teethe. Our kids get teeth early: DD#1 was 5 months, got her 6 yr molars the summer before she turned 5 and lost her first tooth a couple of days after turning 5, DD#2 got her first teeth at 3 months. Veronica has been drooling some and is quick to put her fists in her mouth. I wouldn't be surprised if she has teeth at 3 months as well.

I've gotten her comfortable over the last few days it seems. Now my biggest concern is how BFing will be with a baby thay has a tooth or teeth even...
