ISO: Recipe for dry dog "shampoo"

I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for a dry dog "shampoo". Its hard in the winter to bath our huge GSD. I have used the commercial dry dog shampoos that they sell at the pet stores but honestly they are pretty much just fake chemical perfumes which are aggravating our allergies. Burts bees used to have a fabulous all natural dry dog shampoo but its been discontinued yrs now, anyone know a recipe for one? I have all sorts of EO on hand to mix one up.

Why is everytime I post of ISO I find it later

Anyway, I found a recipe online for one and thought I'd share for anyone else who might be looking for one or want to give it a try.

Dry Shampoo For Pets

1/2 cup baking soda
1/4 cup corn starch
1/4 cup rice flour
3-4 drops essential oils of choice (try the flea repellent blend below)

Flea repellant essential oil blend
5 drops citronella
3 drops lemon
3 drops rosemary
3 drops thyme

Combine ingredients in a container with tight fitting lid. Shake vigorously to blend scent into powder. Follow above directions.

Thanks! I was looking for one.

We use 1 part baking soda to 1 part corn starch, then add in EO's. We have one guy who *hates* to be wet, and short of taking him to the groomer, this is the only way to deal with his naturally oily (and therefore somewhat smelly) skin.

Thanks for the recipe! I'll have to give this a try. Our dog doesn't mind baths, but he takes FOREVER to dry. Poor guy gets so cold in the winter months. Even with a fleece blanket and periodic hair dryer usage, it takes up to two hours or more.
