I met a woman this weekend that told me her MIL fed her 4mo (3months adjusted age from being a preemie) half a slice of pumpkin pie, stuffing and mashed potatoes.. Uhmmm?

Thank you to all you mamas about making me, a first time mama to a 5mo. dd, feel more confident about this matter. I also wonder how much time my little one should be spending around other people, especially other babies. She's a very happy baby but sometimes with all the hype and fears around not 'socializing' one's baby enough and the potential consequences, I still wonder. Then I am reminded that she is still so young and I need not worry.

I socialize with my baby at home. Why can't people see that as the same thing? Another 5 mo old can't do anything with my baby that I can do as an adult.
