I took Gavin in for his 2 month WBV this morning and after discussing lots of things, vaccines came up. The dr said "do you have any questions about the vaccines he'll receive today?" I said "no, because I'm not giving him any today." The dr said "oh, okay, what's your plan on which ones and when?"
I was completely caught off guard! My first son is selectively vaxed, my second son isn't vaxed at all (numerous medical issues), so I guess this dr is just used to me by now! But still in the past he's...not really pressured, but certainly encouraged me vaxing more fully. We actually had a good discussion about Pertussis, HiB and Measles. AND, he didn't even have me sign the refusal form! I'm sure they'll have me sign it next time, I did for my other two boys (heavily edited).
It was a nice surprise to not feel pressured or argumentative for once!
