when to transition out of cosleeping

Hello,
We have been cosleeping with our baby girl and it has been wonderful. We did sidecar her crib to our bed but she usually makes her way over to me. She is 8 and 1/2 months old and very mobile! I am now concerned because she moves around quite a bit during the night and I am starting to worry that she could hurt herself. I wasn't planning on transitioning her out of cosleeping so soon, but I'm not sure if it is safe to continue on this path...guess I'm just looking for advice. Of course I am very aware of her and I do wake up when I feel her moving around, but accidents do happen and I'm worried that she will fall off the bed at some point...she tends to head toward the foot of the bed quite often in the middle of the night...any thoughts, similar experiences?
