eruption hematoma?

ds has one where his canine is going to grow in. it bulging just a little bit. Do these hurt? He's seemed a little extra fussy the last several days...

My lo has had one for a good 2 weeks near 3 weeks. I keep googling and asking the ped about it b/c it looks so painful but I'm assured it's normal and will be gone once the tooth breaks through.

My 13 month old is nursing like a newborn again too. I hope it breaks through soon.

DS (now 6 1/2) had one when he was about 15 months old. It seemed quite painful. His ped said that they could be and recommended anything cold we could get him to suck on or eat.
