DS gags on meat, what to feed?

My ds has texture issues & some other sid signs. He gags when he tries to eat eggs, meat, or fish. Chewy food is no good & soft food is no good (gags on yogurt or soup).

All he eats is noodles. Help!

I know this sort of sucks, but do you think he'd eat something like bologna or hot dogs cut into thin, noodle-y strips? Applegate Farms makes a grassfed, nitrate free beef hot dog, and I think they also make an organic bologna. Not the best option ,but still perhaps a way to get protein? Seems like lots the SID kids I've known will eat a more processed meat. My daughter has SID issues too, but meat is one thing, oddly, she's all about. She doesn't like most carbs, especially bread like things.

Anyway, would he eat spaghetti squash, which has pretty much the exact look and texture of noodles?

I've never tried processed meats, never occurred to me! My ds is all about bread and noodles, bread and noodles.

I know- I mean, not as great, but at least they do make reasonably decent hot dogs. Might be a good way to introduce the taste at least and then go from there. Seems like when my dd realizes that something TASTES good, she can occasionally overcome the texture.

My youngest DS gags on meat as well, so we do a lot of meats in the slowcooker so they are fall-off-the-bone soft.

Even now sometimes he'lll chew and chew and chew and chew and chew, then spit out a chunk of white meat so I figure he's getting the good stuff out of it while he chews anyways.
