bumping this. I will try to check in more often!

How are the Holidays treating everyone??

We bought an awesome little elliptical machine. I have access to several gyms, but after a week of -15 to -30 degree temps and then kids taking turns with chest colds...I decided I needed to look for a sweet deal on CL. Found one! I find this machine very difficult. Not sure if that is because the mental challenge of being in my room and getting a good workout or what.

It's gotten a bit warmer, and I ran outside yesterday. Dh's boss quit, so me getting out alone in daylight hours is a real challenge. This week the kids began winter vacation, so new challenges to working out will happen for the next 3 weeks. Then I go back to school FT at the end of the month. But so far I'm feeling great and doing great and plan to continue to D-day.

How is everyone else? In Jan I will change the title to ACTIVE pregnant moms to try to get more action here.

I delivered a week ago and was active literally until I gave birth. I went cross country skiing on Saturday for 2 hours and gave birth Sunday.

the good news is I still feel like I am in good/decent shape. Recovery has been super fast and easy.

I dont feel ready to run but walking isnt a problem and snowshoeing or hiking is fine. I also lost all my pregnancy weight already and am feeling pretty good.

Hi! I was very active all the way through my last pregnancy, rowing up through the middle, running through about 8 months, and doing a regular vinyasa practice until a few days before I delivered (at 41w5d). I'm only 7 weeks with this one, but plan to be as active as I can again. It is critical to my emotional/mental health as much as my physical.
