tooth question

we've been awaiting tooth #5 with lots of fussiness and drooling. today it looks like there is a spot on his gum where I would expect to see a tooth, but it doesn't look/feel like the other 4 teeth that had come in. Those I would desbribe as first feeling like a tiny grain of sand and it looked like a little hole on his gumline. this looks like a little pimple almost. I'll try to get a picture.
Any ideas?

I think that's a tooth! My ds had that pimple look a day or two before the tooth came through, then I could feel just a tiny tiny bit (the grain of sand) and then I could feel/see the whole ridge line
