Sun Update:

I did more reading, talked to dh and chickened out. I decided I didnt want to take it last night. I figured I'd rather have a little sleep. and I could always take it this am. I also realized that I had goldenseal in the house so when I woke up at 4:30 this am, I alternated w/gldenseal & black cohash for an hour and then the homeopathics. increased the flax oil and took some stool softener (ie, a much milder laxative) have had some ctx, a little bloody show. I'm hopeful......

My induction w/dd was ok. wasnt the birth I dream of, but I think the alternative of nasty diaherea, oily burps and dehydration is probably the worse of the evils at the moment. I'm feeling like I've prob progressed to needing pit only and thats my main worry.

or, such is my thought right now. I could always change my mind again in the next 12h.
*******

I'm being induced on Monday due to Pre-E. 39w today.

Monday I was about 1cm dialated and soft but not effaced. on nst baby was very sleepy dispite juice but eventually perked enough that they let me go home. Yesterday was similar so Monday it is.

been taking 6 capsules of epo and 3 capsules of borage oil a day. started flax yesterday 1tsp 2x a day. sex 1x a day.

homeopath put me on Cimicifuga 3x a day for 3d. I have 2 more doses to take.

pretty sure I just lost my plug. no bloody show but a big slimy glob fell out.

My Ob told me it was ok to try the castor oil. Suggested it actually. but I'm a little reluctant. I'm chronically dehydrated since having hyperemesis w/this pg. even still today drinking more than a couple sips of water makes me hurl.

so, would you suck it up and try the castor oil seing as I dont have much to loose and I'll get an iv w/pit if I dont have baby by Monday at 8am anyways?

I would. I hope things move naturally for you and you don't have to be induced.

I kind of self-induced with DD at 41 weeks and 3 days with DD so I normally say I would recommend it IF youre close to 42 weeks and have tried everything else.

I was going to say yes to your post until I got to the part about dehydration....that would scare me a little i think, just because if you get dehydrated (which if you can't keep anything down sounds fairly likely w/castor oil) and worn down, I feel like the likely hood of complications and a c-section becomes a lot more likely. I'm not sure. :/

Hopefully someone will have some good advice. I'd really avoid induction with pit at any cost, but I'd avoid a c-section even more. Have you tried nipple stimulation?

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you go into labor tonight.
