Baby vomits once a day, every day... wwyd? (X-posted in LWaB)

So, I've posted about this here once before a few weeks back, but we've tried some suggestions and we're still in the same place. I don't know if this is a baby problem, a breastfeeding problem, or what, but it scares me. So I'm posting again in the hopes that someone may have an idea...

DD vomits exactly once every day. Sometimes in the morning, but most of the time in the evening. And it's actual vomiting, not spitting up. This is stomach churning, out the nose, pooling in my lap vomiting.
Midwife & family doc both think it's "just one of those things" but it really scares me. I'm scared she'll aspirate it. Actually, she must be aspirating at least some milk, because there's so much in her nose and she gasps for breath afterward. And it's usually pretty curdled, which doesn't help.

She's not very gassy, and not colicky. She's pretty happy all the time. Except for about 5 minutes before and after her once-a-day vomit.
I'm 90% sure it's not something in my diet, and it's not overfill. (Those were the theories put forth to me).

So, if it was your baby, what would you do? What would you try in order to either
1) find out why it's happening, or
2) just stop or at least reduce it?

I'm baffled. I've never ever heard of this before.
TIA!

The main thing I'd look for is a food allergy. Have you tried a very strict elimination diet? My daughter was allergic to almonds for a while (outgrown) and I spent a lot of time on the food allergy forums and many moms do the elimination diet and don't realize that you have to follow it very strictly for a few weeks before you can say for sure if it's helping. Most moms don't give it long enough or eliminate thinks like casin.

Other than that, maybe probiotics?

I don't have any other ideas, unfortunately.

My DD projectile vomited several times a day until 5 months old. (It seriously would shoot 2 feet). We discovered several food allergies. Mainly dairy and tomato. We eliminated dairy from my diet when she was 2 months old, but she didn't stop vomiting until we had her tested and discovered the tomato allergy.

I also had oversupply which I don't think helped the situation.

Sarah has this issue too however, she did it sometimes once sometimes more than once. We were told reflux though I did not want to believe it. She is 9 weeks and I fought them trying to give me medicine for her. Until she did actually quit breathing...she is now on Zantac and it is helping. She is not nearly as gassy, her throw up episodes are waaaayyy down and she seems to feel better all around. She might actually go a day or two without the throwing up. What you are describing sounds a lot like SOME of the symptoms that she was going through. I posted more about it "laryngomalacia?" in Special Needs parenting. Check out that post as it might offer some insight. Also, post one there as those ladies were really helpful.
