Help me troubleshoot night leaks with fleece Stacinator

So many people swear by this cover, but I am finding that for my 5 week old, even when we don't have a leak, we wake up with him being vaguely damp or at least "humid" all over his pjs. I'm using Kissaluvs 0 with a microfiber insert, and he seems to be a heavy wetter. I can't tell where the leaks are coming from when they happen.

I also have covers for day with PUL, but I'm nervous about using something without breathability for so many hours at night.

I never found those to be thick enough to be a cover at all, let alone for night. It is a single layer of thinner fleece, right? All the fleece for night that I swear by or have used is 300-weight fleece, which is about 3 times as thick. I'd look for something thicker.

I know what you mean; I only use mine during the day because I think it must wick moisure or something. For night, I only trust Bummis Polar Fleece or Imse Vimse Bumpy (wool).
