would you cook with vintage cupcake/muffin tins

I found two little vintage muffin pans, one says "PAT-A-CAKE" - they each hold 6 mini-muffins. They are ferrous metal, rather than aluminum. I cleaned them - but some crevices remain rusty.

Would you cook muffins with these? Or should I retire them to the kids' toy kitchen set?

one looks just like this: http://www.countryjoescollectiblestu...uffin-tin.html

Yes, I probably would. I have no scientific rationale either direction, but I'd figure I'd be using them rarely (in the scheme of things) and it would be fun. A little extra iron would not hurt. I'm not sure what the other concerns there might be.

ok this might be a dumb concern and maybe not one at all, but would lead be an issue?

if not then i would go for it, as a pp said go for it

I found this on a website, which just makes me wonder: "This one's pretty cool, now remember our deal, I find these old things for you and you promise not to cook in em."
