Non-toxic sealant suggestions??

I've been painting wooden dolls for my daughter and would like to seal them. I'd like to find a non-toxic sealant that is easy to use. I've seen different things about mineral oil or walnut oil online...but I'm not sure about what to use.

Anyone have any ideas and also--- tips on how to apply!

I've been looking into it too for mine. Some options I've found are tung oil, mylands wax, or beeswax and jojoba. What did you use for paint on yours? I have a baby in the house and although the painted toys aren't for him but for his brother, I know he'll chew them at some point so I need totally non toxic paint.

I just used regular craft paint I already had lying around...my kids are past the mouth stage (finally)...so it made it a bit easier for that.
