Enjoyed hearing from different perspectives, I am leaning towards having it pulled. A round of abx cleared up the big abcess a while ago, but the infection is still there and the pain comes and goes.. My diet is less than optimal I'm sure! I just don't even know if its even possible to clear up with a strict regimen. I do supplement with cod liver oil for many year but ever since I've been breastfeeding I eat pretty much anything I can find lol and that includes anything quick cause I can't wait when Im hungry lol I can live without this tooth but if I have more pulled in the future I am leaning towards a removable partial. Its just going to feel pretty weird i think.. sometimes I wish for full dentures. there hasnt been a time in the last 3 or 4 years that at least one tooth wasnt bothering me. right now its about 3 different areas but this one makes me forget about all the others!

Personally, I'd leave it unless it was very painful, and add nutrition. Have you seen the thread "Curing Cavities with Nutrition" at the top of the forum? Curing Cavities with Nutrition

I'm scheduled to have it extracted, finally.

I haven't read that whole thread, but its full of great info, would be really time consuming for me right now. This isnt a cavity, its an abcess. I do fear the cavitation possibility and will hope that wont happen. If it does I guess its fixable. How expensive is it (To the previous poster who mentioned it) and does insurance cover any of it? Not that Im anywhere near CA but just curious
