Hi all,

I haven't posted here on Mothering for a long, long time but I thought this would be a good place to ask if anyone is interested in reading a blog, written by my daughter and me, about and for girls who don't fit society's idea of what girls should look and act like. My daughter is constantly mistaken for a boy because she wears her hair a certain way and dresses mostly in t-shirts and baggy pants. She also has interests that aren't "traditional" interests for a girl her age (she's 9). She currently unschools because she's been bullied most of her life.

We're going to talk about places to buy clothes, movies and books with interesting girls as characters, etc. We'd like this blog to be pretty interactive with lots of comments and feedback -- and perhaps we'll eventually move to a discussion forum.

Edited to add: Ya might want a URL for the blog, huh?

Thanks!
