To Love Mercy - sorry hon, but its not over yet, my temp dropped the day before i got my BFP with DS in march 2006.

AFM- wondering about my game plan for the next 10 days, wondering if we should BD every other day or every day....My plan was every other day until I get a high on my fertility monitor and then every day from then on until my temp moves, but have been researching and wondering if we just do every other day..Oh the questions i keep playing over in my mind!!!It makes a girl crazy!

So I now use fertility friend too. Is it worth getting vip membership? I don't know what's the difference, really?
I also got myself a BBT thermometer today... It's cycle day 2 so that should be ok for charting for the rest of the months... I'm aiming for March or April... I also have the OPK tests... I hope I will be able to pinpoint the ovulation day by spring
So, I peed on one of those cheapo internet tests (Amazon, QualityDeal is the seller) to check for evaps... None whatsoever. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but they really don't have any, even after a day, so I think so far they are not bad (as for getting false hopes up!).

Okay, y'all...I'm starting to freak out...can you help me understand this???

So, Friday about midnight, on a whim, I took an OPK and it was totally blaringly positive. In fact, so much so, that I doubted I had ever really seen a positive OPK before! I followed testing through Monday watching the line decrease in intensity until last night when there was only a bare trace of a line. A whisper really. I had one test left from the 20 I ordered so to confirm that LH was gone I took one this evening. DH gets out of the shower and surveying both the OPK and the CBEFM test gets this goofy grin and says, "So we want 2 lines right?" I say, "Yes! On a pregnancy test, those are OPKs and there should only be 1 line." He says, "So it's bad if there is 2? I'm confused." I say stepping closer, "There's 2 lines?" And um, yeah. Not as dark as the control but much darker than yesterday. WTF?!?!

Does this mean I didn't ever O? I'm so confused. I've had fairly high temps for me ie 2ww temps of 97.76 and 97.49 this morning and yesterday morning which I thought probably synched it that I had O'd over the weekend.

EEEEYYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

So the short of it: What does this mean? Where do I go from here? Am I in the 2ww? Is this normal or psycho PCOS sh*#? I'm going to keep temping. I've had wicked hot flashes last night and today which I have only ever had while on hcg or pregnant. The hpt came up negative so I don't think that's it...any help would be appreciated...

On another less life changing but most assuredly obsessive note: I have obtained a copy of the book "itty-bitty toys" and have proceeded tonight to knit 1/2 of a set of play balls from it. It you like to knit and are looking to branch out (I usually knit socks.); it is a great book. The fact that everything is so cute even DH commented is just more reason to knit a set a pull toy of mama duck and baby ducks. Yes. You read correctly.

Okay, so i haven't Oed in several months and it's been 6 years since i've been pregnant so i'm a little rusty on this stuff....so i need some answers please ladies!!!

1: The past couple of days while i've been at work (i work 6pm to 6am) at around 730 pm i've been feeling like my temp goes up slightly...and then a few hours later it feels like it goes back down. What is up with that? I'm only 4 dpo now....

and 2: I've had some cramping the past couple of days but it's not like the ones i usually have when AF is headed my way. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing!!!!! I'm kinda freaking out because I don't want to get my hopes up and then have them crash down on me....If anyone could at least throw something out there for me that would be GREAT!!!

Temps change for various reasons. Doesn't indicate anything either way. Could be environmental, just a normal body function, etc. When do you temp if you work nights? And are you charting?
cramping too can be from various things. Gas, AF, O, muscle spasm. Sorry this doesn't help much, but both things can be completely random and normal occurances. Just while TTC, we pay more attention. But hopefully they are for the pg kind of occurance (which one can't tell except in retrospect after the BFP)

Jenne ~ Without a chart I can't tell you whether or not you've Oed. The temps you've mentioned are not in the "normal" or average post-O range. That does not meant you haven't Oed. You cannot rely solely on opks and/or CF to confirm O, especially with PCOS. Those only tell you when you are potentially fertile. They cannot confirm O. I recommend against using opks after you have Oed. Some women say they help to confirm a pg if they are obviously + during the 2ww but they are not reliable. Yes, they can pick up HCG if you are pg but, since that's not what they're designed for, you really can't know what it means if you get a dark one in the 2ww. Having PCOS can complicate this.

About when to BD, TCOYF says BD every 2-3 days throughout your cycle should be sufficient to get pg. That way you'll get at least one BD in within 3 days of O and at least 2 within 6 days of O, which is plenty. When I got pg with ds2, we BD every 36 hours because we thought dh had low sperm count and had tried every other day for a while without success. Every 36 hours did the trick. When we were actively TTC #3, we would BD every 3 days or so from the end of until I got fertile CF. At the first sign of fertile CF, we would BD every other day until I got a + opk. Then we would try to BD every day until confirmed O or 4 days after the + opk. However, the cycle I got pg with ds3 we only BD 4 times, I think, and we stopped the day before I Oed because I got sick.

So after all of that, I say do whatever feels best. If your dh has a high sperm count, BD every day won't hurt so do it if you want but don't kill yourself forcing yourself to if you're not up to it. If your dh has possible sperm issues, BD every other day is best. It's ok if you skip a day and/or don't BD on your O day. I read a study on the Ovusoft website that said more pgs resulted from BD the day before O than the day of O. The best was the day before and the day of O.

OK, 11 DPO and a BFN. I left the test in the bathroom right after I took it and went to work around five. There's a faint something-or-other as of whenever DH got up and took a look, but I suppose it's most likely an evap.

So, WWYD? I've woken up the last two mornings with my mouth open (very unusual for me), and had slightly lower temps (97.7 and 97.5), which could, obviously, just mean that AF is on her way. What I've done is temped twice and used the average between the two, because it's been such a big gap. (Today it was 97.5 first and 98.0 the second, and I ended up marking it as 97.7). Nothing is really different, just maybe 30 seconds between the two, after my mouth has, well, been closed while I temped (that is, I haven't moved around or anything).

I think tomorrow will be the day of truth. My breasts are tender, which hasn't happened yet with my PP cycles (and, obviously, means absolutely nothing). If my temp doesn't drop super low tomorrow morning I'll test again. (Oh, please. I'll probably test this afternoon.)

Jenne: I'd still bank on already having Oed. If the line wasn't AS dark or darker than the control line, it's still not positive. Hormone levels and test sensitivities fluctuate all the time.

Brichole: I have times when I feel like my temps fluctuate up and down alot. I especially notice it right before AF hits, or during the temp rise after O. Sadly, I can't decipher my own cramps, either. for you!

ok, could someone look at my chart and tell me what you think? Is this an O spike? I do have a cold but have had it three days now. So I don't think it's a fever spike, but I'm really unsure...

And if it was O is it likely that I could be prego w/ my bd pattern?

I was going to say that might be a BFP. Mine get darker when they dry so that lines that didn't seem to be there before can be easily seen later and they aren't evaps. But, I guess you've already figured that out. Waiting for pic.

chainedangel ~ That could be an O spike but you need 2 more consecutive high temps to confirm it. Until you get that, you should continue to assume you have not Oed.

chainedangel: You won't know if that's an O spike until you see a pattern of elevated temps. But, it does look pretty promising for an O spike.

Given the MOST IDEAL conditions sperm can survive 5-7 days. But, you didn't enter your CM for a few days, so it's hard to know.

Congratulations The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I got my BFP. I took a FRER with fmu on 9dpo. There was a line that only a true obsesser would see. So I went and worked out, held my pee, bought another FRER and a couple of $tree and went home to test. Those tests were sooo much darker...still faint but anyone could see the lines! The next morning I was super excited to use my other tests with fmu to see darker lines. No such luck, they were lighter than the afternoon before. I got a little scared, but decided to test again in the afternoon to see if that made a difference. IT DID!! They were much darker than the morning ones. From then I decided to only test in the pm and I have a nice progression of afternoon tests now

To find out boys vs girls yes you need to be VIP... then you put in your timing and Pregnant with Boys or Pregnant with Girls and count... up to 200. Rarely is there that many though most women do not come back to update which they get pregnant with.

Its not scientific, but its is fun!

DF was so gone last night he could hardly walk up the driveway. Im not angry, I actually told his brother to get him as drunk as he could. Then, after he got sick and talked about how much he hates that part of drinking and Im standing there scratching his back and handing him cups of water to get the taste out of his mouth... I informed him the only time I ever want to see him like this again is if I happen to see him after his bachelor party.

Myself... not a thing. Temp up still. More thinking this is due last night to the fact that MIL-TB gave me a warm blanket since DF has a tendency to leave me freezing. Really still not thinking I am 2dpo but rather the 8dpo that FF says... and that the temp difference is purely from the difference in how warmly I slept.
