RH Sensitization

Hi mamas. I am 23 wks and Sat my toddler landed on my belly. I am a very cautious person and I am worried! (I am Rh-, DH is +, we have a +DS)

I don't have cramping or bleeding or bruising. If you got sensitized despite using Rhogham, do you know how it happened? I have about 25 more hours to decide to get the shot now or leave it alone. Thx!

Before getting the shot, you might have an u/s to see if there has been any internal placental bleeding--subchorionic hemorrhage, for instance. If none is visible on scan, you're probably ok.

I worked at a daycare in my first pregnancy and had toddlers jumping on my belly pretty much every day. I never thought about getting sensitized from it, and it didn't happen. Just my experience.

Just wanted to highlight that point.

When I was pregnant with my first, I had a hard fall on concrete...basically a side impact from my shoulder to legs at about 24w. I got a scan but they couldn't find any bleeding, so the doctors did not recommend the shot.

I was sensitized later in that pg anyway but for a whole other reason...

You're probably fine. Get a scan if you're worried and see what your OB says.
