Another breast question

Thread Starter
I have been nursing for almost 7 years. My youngest is almost 4. For about 2 1/2 weeks, my right breast seems to be "overactive". Prickly feelings, becoming very full, some pain, some thickening in areas which seems to change, etc. I can't really pinpoint it. My left side, nothing is really going on, totally normal. Now, I am totally tuned into to my right breast to the point of being obsessive. I did start AF last Tuesday and it is still happening. Not as extreme as it was but still happening.
Hormones, fibrocystic changes? Although my midwife mentioned that I have very smooth breasts when I saw her about 2 months ago.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks!

Could it be a plugged duct? I had one that wasn't classic, even thought about getting thermography to rule out something sinister. It cleared up with lecithin supplements, but the supps made me depressed, so be careful if you try them.

I have fibrocystic breasts, and what you are describing fits the bill EXACTLY. If you consume caffiene, you could try a few days without and see if that helps. It often does for fibrocystic changes.

Also, there's an herb company here in Canada that makes the most amazing breast oil... it shrinks/softens my lumpy bumpies in about 48 hours...

Good luck!
