WWYD situation at farm where I get milk

I decided to remove my post, because I could tell I was going to get flamed and I don't need to be upset all day about this. Thanks for the ideas RiverSky, definitely worth contemplating. Thank you for those who respectfully responded with ideas other than my own.

I'm guessing there is a band in the area with the name of "Demons" and that the smell wasn't really coming from her car (perhaps something under it? or under something next to it?)

You didn't talk about your religion, though it seems obvious you have one. To me, none of what you said matters at all. She might be wearing the shirt because her brother is in the band. She might have shaved her head to support her husband going through chemo, or she might be recently over a bout with chemo and has embraced the haircut. Or the entire look could be an alternative viewpoint intended to keep away conservative people who would make such judgments.

Agreed with RiverSky-- I think you're being very discriminatory towards this woman. There are any number of reasons why her car could smell and really, are any of them at all relevent to the safety of your milk? And why does a "Demons" shirt bother you? Does the shirt impact her ability to do her job?

My car currently smells like a brewery. Seriously- I drove to the gym last night and was TERRIFIED of getting pulled over because I knew the car would be searched and I'd have to get tested for DUI (I'd pass, obviously, but still not a fun experience, I'd wager). Why does my car reek? A half gallon of unpasteurized cider broke on the floor board and I didn't realize it for a few days.

You have no idea what this woman's story is. Leave her alone or better yet, try to get to know her. If you trust your farmer, you must trust his ability/judgement to hire safe and responsible staff as well.

Yeah, the band idea makes sense. That's why I wanted to ask. I would agree about the shaved head if it weren't for other factors adding up beyond that idea. There was definitely an intended Gothic look, if that is what you call it now. I know, because my group of friends in school were into this look including me.

You were goth? What's up then?

Not trying to be snarky, just honest. If this is a lifestyle you were into, what is really going on. You are having an emotional response to someones appearance, which is completely normal and understandable. It's human to make snap judgements based on appearance. Once we realize we are doing so is when we can chose how we will act based on that emotional response.

I was that girl, peirced lip, no hair (I did shave it to raise money for cancer! ). I was also a girl that cared deeply about volunteering for the homeless, travelled to the jungles of panama to do relief work and was a straight A student.

I agree with the pp, get to know her. Say hi to her, smile at her and ask about her day.

You are right! I am having an emotional response. Even so, I did say hi and smile at her.
