Sitting in papasan chair with a baby?

I have a papasan chair that I really enjoy sitting in. DH hates it cause it takes up so much space and especially now that we're getting ready for baby's arrival we're trying to get rid of stuff to make room for other stuff. I'm curious if it's nice to sit in a papasan with a baby. Is it comfortable for breastfeeding? If it is I'd like to keep it since I can continue to enjoy it. If not, I may as well get rid of it. There are plenty of other places to sit comfortably and it does indeed take up a lot of space, but I like it. (and to be honest, it's also my cat's favorite napping spot and I hate to take that away from her!)

Any opinions?

i was thinking about getting rid of ours but i'm so glad i didn't. it is a great place to sit and nurse. we have ours between two windows in a corner and now DS2 (6mo) LOVES it when we sit there and he can look out the window.

We have a love seat papasan and I love nursing in it! It's so easy to curl up with DS in a side laying position. I also set him in it for naps, it's deep enough so he can't get out of it yet (like a little birds nest )

I used to nanny for folks who had a papasan chair, and their toddler was constantly getting himself into trouble by trying to climb on it - those things just aren't sturdy enough to serve as a jungle gym to an energetic climber. It toppled on him a few times (didn't hurt him, but certainly scared him) before I laid down the law: when I was there, nobody was allowed to touch the papasan chair. It was exhausting trying to keep him away from it. It was more trouble (and more of a space hog) than it was worth, IMO.

Also, FWIW, my DD would never tolerate being "sunk" into any chair like that to nurse, except maybe when she was a few weeks old. She usually doesn't even let me lean back in the chair/couch when I'm nursing her - I have to sit on the edge of the furniture, or on the floor cross-legged, in order for her to nurse without fussing. Also, I found it difficult to climb out of any furniture that you sink into - fluffy couches, etc. - when I was newly PP, so a papasan chair would not have worked for us.
