My husband is a health and safety engineer for a very large auto company. Today, a new mama approached my husband to talk about pumping at work. My sweet husband took it upon himself to go speak with the medical staff and his superiors about getting her adequate break times (not easy to do when the line never stops moving) and getting her a place to pump.
By her afternoon break, she had a private room in the medical area, a mini-fridge with a lock and key, a locker to store her pump, and a comfortable chair.
She now gets two longer breaks plus lunch! He made sure to tell her to let him know if she needed anything because he knows what is like to have a breastfeeding baby at home.
Just thought I would share how proud I am of him. He totally made that mama's day and it made me smile to know that yet another baby was getting his mama's milk!
