can I "recycle" a used Diva cup?

Not sure where to put this...I have a Diva cup that I've used a few times, but I hate it. I hate to just throw it away...would it be safe to sterilize it and then give it to someone who can't afford one?

You can totally sterilize it, but I doubt anyone would want it.

I have one too, used twice, boiled in water.

It now sits in the bathroom cupboard unused.

I think it would be fine for someone else to use after boiling. The question is, how do you find that someone? Personally, I don't think I could start randomly asking friends. Maybe someone here will see this message and want it and let you know?

If you hate it i'm pretty sure you can return it. They won't resell, they'll probably recycle and you might or might not get your money back depending o how long you've had it and what the problem was/is.

I think I will boil it and offer it up free for shipping on a different board. If no one wants it, I'll toss it. I'd offer it to my sis but I've had babies and she hasn't so it wouldn't fit her.

It might, i used my pre-baby after DD (vaginal birth) and it worked just fine.

I think there are people who would be interested in it if boiled. It depends on personal preference. There's not much difference in size between the two (0.3 cm or 1/8" if my web search is to be believed), plus everyone is built differently so it may or may not fit your sister.

I use mine to plug the bath tub drain.

Personally I would take it, but I already have one.

I have seen people sell or give used cups away... I think it was on the LiveJournal menstrual cup community.

Once you wash it and boil it, I'm sure it's completely sterilized... although I could see how some people might still not be comfortable with it.

Personally, I hate to throw perfectly usable things in the landfill when there may be someone who would want it. I hope you're able to pass it along to someone who will use it.

I wish I had known there were used ones out there before I shelled out $40 for my new one I totally would buy a used one and boil it.
