How to you take care of your sheepskins after a miss?

I've been leaving it out flat to dry, but 2 days later in the high desert it's still wet - unheard of, for us. Should I do something, or do nothing?
Thanks!

i just shake mine out. the moisture beads up and shakes right off. i wouldn't recommend putting it in direct sunlight.

don't leave it flat - put it on a rack or hang it so that air can flow through. mine usually dries in a day or two that way.

OK, I'm going to hang it up right now. Maybe this was just one of those massive midnight toddler pees, or maybe my sheepskin needs more lanolin... mystifying, but at least now I know I need a spare - "baby sad, sheepy wet" is breaking my heart.
