End Of the Month Update

 Oyakodon and Rice
Smothered Chicken with salad (recipe from the red Betty Crocker Cookbook)
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, salad and garlic toast
Firecracker Salmon with rice and broccoli
Sausage Mushroom Penne with Mustard Cream Sauce and salad
Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, steamed green beans, and salad
 Shrimp Scampi
Grilled Roast Beef Sandwiches with Tomato Soup
Chicken and Bacon Pasta (This was a new recipe for us, and I didn't care for it but my husband did.)
 Italian Sausage Soup
Planned dinner out-it was my birthday! We went to my favorite restaurant. There was some problem in the kitchen and it took forever for our entrees to come out, so they comp'ed them! After drinks, appetizers, and the tip, we still paid $27 though.
 Leftovers
Beef fajitas, and among the fixin's was homemade guacamole (I subbed lime juice for lemon, omitted the oil, and added cilantro.)
 Tuna Fish Hot Dish
Homemade Pizza (sauce) (dough is Betty Crocker recipe) topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, mozzarella, sliced olives, onions, red bell pepper, chopped tomatoes, and chopped spinach
Spicy Chicken Soup with Homemade Dinner Rolls (this is one of my favorite dinners ever! I'm serving it at my birth for my family and midwives)
Curry-Glazed Chicken with Rice and Salad (it was basically honey-mustard-glazed grilled chicken, not very curry-y, probably won't make again because I've already got a honey-mustard chicken recipe)
Brinner (breakfast-for-dinner) (pancakes with sauted apples and whipped cream, sausage links and scrambled eggs)
Vegetable Soup and Egg Salad Sandwiches
 FFY/Leftovers
Kielbasa sausage fried in soy sauce with rice
Cheese Tortellini with Marinara Sauce with Garlic Bread and Salad
Out at Taco Hell because DH felt like it and I didn't care enough to argue. It was yucky.
Spinach, Red Lentil and Bean Curry and Rice
Surf & Turf Christmas Dinner (Snow Crab, Steak, Brussels Sprouts, and Mashed Potatoes)
 Leftover curry
 Taco Pizza (homemade)
 General Tsao's Chicken with Rice
 Enchiladas (DH cooked)
 Fried Rice
Baked Scallops, Twice-Baked Potatoes, and Steamed Broccoli

So, we ate out twice this month. Once was a planned, celebratory dinner and the other completely unnecessary but at least it was cheap. I say that's not too bad!

We only ate out twice this month and I'm not upset about either one. We really needed a date night last night and the pizza at the beginning of the month was planned and cheap (we used a coupon). I'm pretty sure this was the fewest number of times per month we've eaten out since we've been married!! I'm really proud of us and excited about moving into January. This thread was really helpful in keeping me accountable! Thanks!
