I have a seroma. Or a couple; not totally sure just yet. I'm 10 days PP. I ended up in the ER Friday night/Saturday morning. Super fun to be there with my mom and a newborn waiting in the hospital lobby and my breasts getting out of control hurty from milk. I ended up leaving before I was officially discharged so I could go feed the baby. I'm sure they loved that.
I'm going to head to the OB tomorrow, but I wanted to know if anyone had any BTDT experience. I really don't think I can stomach packing it (and I can't see it anyway; my severely deformed (from the section) belly fat hangs over my incision at the moment), but I guess I'll do what I have to do.
Right now, I have FOUR super long pads in my underwear.
One is for the lochia, and the other three overlap horizontally above that one to catch the crud draining from my incision. This blows.
Fwiw, I have been on antibiotics for about a week now, and the fluid is relatively odorless, so I don't think I have an infection. (Neither did the ER doc.) But this is really gross and I'd love some insight.
This is so, so, SO not the home waterbirth I prepared for.
