We're With Child, But We're Not Virgins!...December Chat - Page 3

evie's mom I, personally, would go with the CNM unless the CPM had the "it" factor. It is nice that you like the other MW in the practice just in case you need to use one of them. I am slightly bias though b/c I am a RN and before children I ultimately wanted to continue on to become a CNM. Some day.
AFM I thought I was going to barf when I woke up and while I was eating.

Yep, sleeping through the night right around a year. And these are kids that coslept and nursed until 5 and 2+ respectively. They would happily have kept snacking throughout the night if we hadn't put some effort into night weaning, though. I'm a big advocate of night weaning for mama's good.

we do plan to cosleep, so that makes me feel muuuuuch better. thanks Nic!
I hear ya on the sleep thing!! I am already, however, not sleeping through the night!! And I am a late sleeper (9:30 or 10 on weekends) and haven't slept past 8am in over a week! 7:30 has been generous. Not to mention laying in bed waiting for the alarm to go off at 6:30 on weekdays...

I'm sitting at my computer, and suddenly wondering if my dinner's going to come back up. I was seriously NOT complaining about the lack of symptoms! Wonder what the kids will think if mommy is nauseous from now til Xmas with no explanation...
Also, has anyone else lost their mind? I am suddenly so forgetful and keep doing really, really dumb things (even while driving, EEK). I don't remember being this stupid with my other pregnancies! If this lasts the whole time, I'm screwed.

ha! no.. they still woke to nurse at night but i had the mentality of if you can find it, you can have it. i seldom woke up during a nighttime nursing session. i have never nightweaned any of my nurslings either...

omg.. and the puking starts. i thought the little gaggies i had the other day were bad. i full on puked a bit ago. i was reading my ddc from my daughter. pretty much 3 years to the day!! i was experiencing the exact same symptoms. started with the runs and turned in to weeks of puking. please do not let me puke my brains out for the rest of this trimester, please please please!

I've been having BAD heartburn the last two nights. I NEVER get heartburn, only when I was big and huge with my DS I did, but the last two nights its been bad. I was super tired today and laid down with DS while he napped, but didn't get to sleep...I guess there is a lot on my mind!

I am meeting with one midwife next Tuesday. I still need to call the other one, but I've heard so many good reviews of the one I am talking with that I'm pretty excited even before meeting her!

this baby is planned, wanted SO badly and already anxiously awaited... but the sleep thing, well, it scares me a little. i really like my sleep.
I hear you on the sleep thing. Sleep has always been a battle in our house with DD. She has NEVER been a good sleeper. I've tried everything, and nothing has worked. We night-weaned at 13 months, but can't seem to get her to drop a 5-6ish am feeding. She then goes back to sleep until 6:30-7:30.

I have a feeling that she will never sleep in. Ever.

I've been having round ligament pain too. It's kind of like a sharp pulling sensation I guess?

My nips are also starting hurt too when DD nurses. I was hoping I wouldn't have that symptom because she really likes to nurse. Right now it's mostly just when she latches on and then it goes away.

I'm having lots of cramping/pulling sensations as well. I remember it from my last pregnancy, but it seems more intense this time. Last night I actually got a few that were pretty sharp pains - like a little stab, then pulling.

My boobs have turned so sensitive in the last few days. At first I was nervous because they were not that sore - and now, oh my, they are killing me.

I only got up once in the night to pee last night! But I needed to pee for at least an hour before I got up this morning--to the point that I was literally dreaming about peeing in diapers! That's a new one!

I have a really bad habit of not eating breakfast until 10 or so...not anymore! I feel so sick right now. I need to make some easy breakfast things to have available all the time. The other day I had black bean soup for breakfast it was perfect, great protien. I think I need to make a big pot.

Nic - I am ther with you... I started with the vomiting this morning. Boy I didn't miss it .

I spoke to my family Dr and did my initial blood work today... boy was that fun. Other than that everything is pretty much the same.

So far no morning sickness, lots of little pully and pinchy pains in my lower abdomen. Today I'm experiencing some fanastic diarrhea. I wonder how long I should let it go on before talking to a doctor or something.

The worst part so far is the exhaustion, work is super difficult to get through on days I have a lot going on - and considering I work at a nonprofit human services organization and the holidays are upon us...you can imagine the workload presently.

i just ate a plate of potato salad followed by a boston creme donut... i've made sure i haven't let my tummy get too empty the past couple of days and that has really helped with the nausea.
I am craving a donut. Have been for multiple days now, were a mostly organic eating family so thats kind of crazy...but I think I really need to send DH out to get me one!! lol

I was slightly worried about the lack of symptoms- it was NOT having sore boobs that made me test!- and now they're incredibly sore. The only nausea I've been having that "back of your mind" something's not sitting quite right feeling. I've found snacking on little things consistently keeps that away, but it's worse in the evenings. And burping A LOT.

Oh, and I think I'm getting the occasional round ligament stab too.

I get my HCG and progesterone levels back tomorrow. I'm trying to not be nervous about it. We all know how well not worrying usually goes...
