need soy-free vege*n chili recipes

Thread Starter
I love my stand-by veg*n chili recipe, but it has soy crumbles in it. We are now soy protein free for the most part and I don't know what to add instead. I thought of cashews, but I don't really like how they can get "mushy" in the leftovers. I want it to be more than just beans, tomatoes, seasoning, and corn!

Any hints, ideas, and suggestions appreciated!

I use a variety of bean & some lentils as well. Black beans, pinto beans, lentils, corn, peppers & sweet pototoes is what I typically buid from.

Short grain brown rice, bulghur wheat or barley works pretty well. I prefer the rice.
