I need some help here. I am getting an external hard drive and ripping my CDs. We have very few DVDs (thank you, Netflix! ), but that might be my next project. Is there a specific program I should use for this?

I have two big boxes of photos. I'm thinking of maybe taking them someplace to be scanned. Any recs?

Paperwork- we have things like paper copies of mortgage docs and taxes, that's about it. We are way into digital copies for bank statements and utilities and stuff. Should I have this stuff scanned, and then save it my web based email account? I need ideas.

And, finally, books. I am waiting for this ereader. So how do I decide which books to keep in paper, and which to ditch? Beautiful copies, kids books, and those that I have to pay for the ebook in order to replace mean that I'll only get of... let's see... five books. Please help me come up with a rubric that will help me decide what to keep and what to pass on.
