thanks spruce!!

My husband and I (and 9 month old son) want to do something fun tomorrow.

Any suggestions?? We haven't done much in the town because my husband has been so busy with his classroom. But he is done with school and we want to do some fun stuff before school starts again and we go back to OR for Christmas.

We have a son who is 9 months old, so unfourtuantely we can't do anything outside like snow shooeing or skiing although we REALLY want to!!

Anything fun that we could do?? Lucas can easily go on the ERGO so anything is fine. What should we do?

Well, I live in the Interior, so I can't help you w/ stuff for tomorrow. But I bet there is a TON of stuff going on for pre-solstice celebration (there is here!)....

Or, you could just go to Title Wave bookstore and read some books, play with other kids, and maybe get to listen to a good kids' storytime.

The zoo is open year round.
Um, Lousac Library has story time too.
Imaginarium? Might be too young for that though.

But we got engaged in December, so I almost made it into the "December club"

I think that Title Wave is pretty torn up right now due to remodeling. I guess they started in Sept and are STILL not done.. has to suck at their bottom line to be remodeling during holiday sales I would think.

Why on earth can't you take your baby snowshoeing in the Ergo? I take my 10 month old in a wrap all the time, and our friends bring their 6 month old in an Ergo. Snowshoeing and babies are a great combo!

Oh, and haven't announced it here yet, we're moving to New Zealand next month!! We are so excited!

I do need to rehome our 2 cats though, so if anyone has a place in their home for one or both of them, it would be a huge help. (we had someone lined up for them, but it didn't work out ) I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link to our craigslist posting, but here goes (mods, please delete if this is not ok)

I don't know, I guess I COULD go snowshoeing wtih my son. I was thinking I couldnt' for some reason but we're going to try it!

If you do go snowshoeing, and you sling him, just put him mostly under your coat or flannel shirt. I had a fleece sling for a few of my kids, it was awesome.

If you want to wear him on back (I like to) and it's cold, you can either wear a normal coat backwards (needs someone to help you zip it, then), or cut a hole in a coat for his head to poke out the back.
