Digital camera recommendation please

I need a camera recommendation. My bil and his wife and dh and I are going in together to get my mil a camera for Christmas. I have been looking at them online but I really have no idea what any of the descriptions, megapixals and all that, mean

This is what we want -

Under $100

Really really really simple - auto everything, press one button and you're done. She uses some old thing now which produces atrocious photos, so almost anything would be better. In other words, we're not looking for professional quality. It doesn't need to have panoramic or video or anything like that - in fact, it would be bettre if it didn't since it would probably just confuse her! You know those Doodlebug phones for seniors - we want a camera version.

I have a really simple camera that I love. We bought one for my MIL and she has been using is successfully It does have video (and actually it's very good quality) but there are two main buttons - one for taking pics, the other for looking at the pics you took. The video option is easy to get to but you don't accidentally turn it on or anything.

It's the Nikon Coolpix L18, and it's like $80 on newegg.

We have a casio exslim which was somewhere around $110 when we got it last year. I've been really happy with it, find it easy to use, etc. My sister has one thats 3-4 years older and still works great which was one reason we got one too.

My only suggestion is to get one that uses AA batteries. Camera batteries seem to burn out fast, and AAs are so much handier to have around!

I also recommend making a copy of the owner's manual, so if she has questions (and you aren't right there), she can call you for help. My Mom and I bought matching cameras for that reason - she never needed to open the book at all, just call me.
