Picture resources?

My 4 year old ds is complaining of pain and discomfort today. I took a look at his foreskin and asked him to show me where it hurts. It does look a little different but I am not exactly sure what I am looking at or looking for. Are there any picture resources out there that I could take a look at and compare to what I am seeing here? I have two thoughts. One is if it could be the beginning of normal separation... the other is that something could be wrong (too rough with himself? Allergic reaction to something? Other?). Other than the one time he zipped himself up in his jammies, he has never complained of pain before and I've never noticed anything out of the ordinary, so I'm not sure how to proceed. I would prefer to be a little more educated as I keep an eye on it, especially if it is possible that this is normal.

TIA!

I dont know of any pictures that would help but here is thread you might find helpful http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=764732

It explains in detail what to look for if something is truly wrong or if it is seperation.

Thanks... I did read that thread first and it was full of a lot of good information. But, when I check out ds I am still a little unsure about what I am seeing and whether it is normal. I guess maybe I am out of luck because I googled forever and haven't found anything like what I am looking for. It's definitely not a medical emergency, but I wish I had something visual to compare it to. Basically, it looks like the opening of the foreskin might be a little larger and more puffy than it was in the past, but it also looks like there are several (3-4) small tears or splits. But because I am not an expert on intact penises by any stretch I feel like I could totally be missing the mark.

Tears/splits often indicate yeast from what I have read. Maybe try some OTC monistate and see if it looks better in 24 hours. If it dosnt then it isnt yeast.

I know when I was putting together that thread I googled for hours to try and find pictures to link to go with it and I was not able to. Only bunches of men and those are different than a infant/toddler/child.
