I had a reply post last night but we had a health crisis with DS1 and DH shut the computer down and it got deleted.

Oh I didn't take it that way. No one is telling me that its in my head, my DH is very supportive, and my family just keeps quiet nowadays. Its *my* idea that perhaps a PPD component is making the allergy thing the cause of everything in my mind and maybe its not. I don't trust myself to know right now to think clearly about it, and so I want to get my head cleared up so I can see things more clearly. I appreciate your suggestion about sleep as I think its a huge factor with what is going on right now. And I think my better nutrition has really helped me get this far and kept me from having a breakdown months earlier.

Could it be reflux? Have you done any testing at all?
He just turned one. There is some change, but it doesn't stick around. He cycles between constipation and loose undigested food with mucus, he will sleep well for a few days and then cry for hours at night. The only thing that has helped is going GFDF because when on dairy or wheat his symptoms are extreme, but he still has lower level symptoms, enough to make life hard for both of us, and I can't pin down the trigger even with months of food journaling. But it definitely has a pattern...poops start to loosen, red spots on face appear, sleep starts to be disrupted, etc.
Yes, absolutely it could be reflux, I am trying to find the trigger. He had reflux on his day of birth and getting rid of dairy and wheat keeps it at bay, but I wonder if silent reflux is happening. I keep trying to find the triggers rather than do meds, since GFDF diet really helped tone it down so much, and I really don't want to mess with his stomach acid.
The only testing he has had is skin prick tests for IgE allergies to the top 8. All negative. The ped wouldn't order celiac testing, he said the symptoms weren't severe enough to warrant that (yeah, cuz I don't eat gluten you weinie
) and I wasn't willing to go back on gluten just to prove it was severe.
DS is having a bad reaction again. He has slept horrible for three nights, and his poops are getting looser and looser. Last night he pooped his diaper which he never does unless he's reacting (we EC) and he had angry red welts everywhere the poop touched. It honestly looked like someone had spanked his bare bum hard.
There was a lot of mucus and undigested rice from a dish I made. We try to stay away from grains but he tolerates rice ok in the past. He spit up this morning after nursing which he hasn't done in a long time. My suspects are egg whites (he had a few bites of my scrambled eggs two days ago), rice, or possibly a really delayed reaction to dairy/gluten from Thanksgiving (he grabbed a roll off a plate and stuck it in his mouth before we could get it from him!) I watched him really carefully for a few days and no reaction - it didn't start until Sunday night - well I guess that could be it, its within 3 days of exposure that a mild reaction started, its been nearly a week now.
If it takes him that long to react no wonder I can't find his triggers.
