babywearing and napping?

I can barely type, bouncing on a ball wearing my baby to get her to nap. she won't nap any other way. I mean, it's not enough to just wear her and walk around, or rock in a chair. I have to be bouncing on a ball.
Is this an okay habit to continue? is it common? will she grow out of it on her own?

My DD went through a 2 week phase like that, then she hit a growth spurt and would nap alone again. Hopefully your LO grows out of it too.

I have no advice. I just wanted to say that I laughed when I saw this. I'm sitting here, bouncing my baby on the exercise ball for the bajillionth time. All she wants to do is bounce. You're not alone

Been there! It was the only way to get through the witching hour with DD. She's almost 2 now so yes, they do get past it. Luckily DS isn't a fan.

My DD has gone through several different phases like that. For a while it was the ball, then it was rocking, then it was bouncing on the boppy over our knees, then it was nursing, etc.

Just think of what it's doing for your abs!

I just do what works and figure that they will outgrow it EVENTUALLY. Until about a month ago, that was how I put my little boy to sleep. I really didn't mind because I would allow myself to watch tv while I bounced (we otherwise keep it off when he's around...). Now he seems to prefer to just go lie down in bed, which can be harder for me sometimes, if there is work that I need to do after he goes to sleep, because I tend to fall asleep with him.
