Anyone use buckwheat pillows?

Does anyone here use buckwheat pillows? I'm shopping for new pillows and started to read about them--they sound great and I like the fact that they're a more natural pillow filling. If you have one, where did you get it? I'm wondering if there is a difference between a $20 one and a $60 one.

Hey there.... I love buckwheat 'hull' pillows... is that what you mean? I actually made mine myself. I would make more, but other family members don't like them as much and I find buckwheat hulls to be expensive. I don't know why one pillow would be $20 and another $60 aside from store mark up or fabric choices. Maybe there is a first 'hull' batch and a second more broken up 'hull' batch and that is the difference but I don't know. I purchased enough hulls to do a small 5" x 5 " pillow and I did (2) 15x15 pillows that are 2/3 full. I spent about $30 including shipping for the hulls.

Yep, I mean buckwheat hull pillows. I thought about making my own pillows too. I figure it would be pretty easy to just use one of those zipper pillow covers and just fill it up. Where did you buy your hulls?

I bought mine a few years back and LOVE them. They are made by beans72.com

We have been very pleased and everybody in our family has one.

I bought one. It was horrible. It hurt my ear really bad to sleep on it and made a ton of noise in my ear. It was a cheaper one. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I really like my contour pillow. It's an older one made out of foam (not memory foam) & it has a cutout for your shoulder. I love it, but they don't make it anymore.

Love them! Mine has a wool liner which is a natural antibacterial and a cover of organic cotton. There were two sizes available when I bought mine and I chose the smaller (recommended for a child, but plenty big enough for me). Could size explain the price difference? The rest of my family thinks it feels like a bag of rocks.
