How will surgery affect things?

So, apparently I have to have my gallbladder removed soon. I've got several stones and am completely unable to control the attacks with diet, especially this nursing diet that has me constantly starving for high calorie foods. This pain is like nothing I've otherwise experienced.

It's an outpatient procedure. I've read general anesthesia is actually safe in regards to nursing, and so are most pain medications.

Does anyone know what exactly I'd be looking at here? I specifically found this link on KellyMom: http://www.kellymom.com/health/illne...surgery01.html

Did you try a high-fat traditional foods diet (healthy fats, not man-made fats) I've read about people curing their gallbladder attacks with that kind of diet change, there is even an MDC mom I'm thinking of who did that and posted about it in the Traditional Foods forum. She was having attacks while pregnant and discovered Weston A. Price guidelines, did the high-fat traditional foods diet and never had an attack since. Also have you heard about liver/gallbladder flushing? I never had gallbladder attacks, but I've done over a dozen of those flushes and have gotten out probably over 2,000 stones, and it cured my acne and oily skin---the reason being because all those stones were clogging up my liver so it wasn't able to regulate my hormones and filter my blood until I decongested my liver and gall bladder with the flushes.

I tried everything and the only thing that stopped the pain for me was it being removed I never consumed a bad diet when mine started giving me problems. My surgeon said that mine was pretty much from having kids, pregnancy can wreck a gallbladder too. It screwed with my supply a bit when I had mine removed but I was out of it longer than normal and I had a lot more pain than most people do. You should be ok though I mean most women are okay so my situation isnt really the norm.
