I'm on the 2nd sock of my 1st pair of socks

I'm also knitting some doll clothes for my niece's Christmas gift.

I want to try a Norwegian snowflake to try Fair Isle. I was thinking of just making the little snowflake square and putting it on the tree.

What are you up to?

1. I am trying to knit the sleeves for a sweater for my DH for his birthday on Sat. The body and neck are done- just those stupid sleeves- I usually can find time to knit- but now that it is absolutely crunch time- I can't find a spare second. It is the PF siberian woodsman in fathers gray- very manly.

2. Cathedral socks for me- out of imagination in gingerbread house- these are fun- but way too many cables to knit in a reasonable amount of time.

3. hemlock ring afgan for my mom for CHristmas- this is put on the back burner since we won't see her until Jan2.

Planned projects... I want to knit both of my DS a sweater for CHristmas- but this is beginning to become a pipe dream. But how long can a size 2 and 4 sweater take in ww? Not that long... Oh- the planned pattern is sherwood.

i thought i finished a scarf for a friend (my first lace project) but decided it's not long enough, so i need to go back to the yarn store for another skein. i hope they still have it!

i also made a sweater for ds1 - i finished knitting it but need to sew it up.

ds2's sweater is yet to be started - i just wound up the balls of yarn on sunday but haven't started knitting. i think i need a new set of circular needles . . . that trip to the yarn store better happen soon.

congratulations on your first pair of socks! i've only made one pair, and they were baby-size so that is really wimpy. actually, i made three socks because the first one was really wonky.

1. Longies for DS: About to split for the legs
2. Fingerless gloves for me: Almost done; need to frog and re-knit a bit
3. My Xmas stocking: Need to hop on this because I also need to do DS's and DH's. Mine was first so that I could make mistakes and not feel like I was giving an experimental product as a gift.

I;m doing a scarf for DD for christmas. Just basic knitting till I get to the end of the ball of yarn. I like a project I don't have to think about.
