18 day old coughs and gags while nursing why??

so as the title says every single time ds2 eats he is coughing and gaging it is probably a few minutes after let down the first time he coughs I know I have a forceful let down as ds1 would unlatch every letdown for 3 years! But ds2 will cough and gag even when on the other breast way after letdown has stopped! is there anything i can do to help him not choke at every nursing session??? i feel so bad his face turns red and he coughs and tries to catch his breath also why would this happen all th time i mean it happens about 2 - 5 times a session!?

There is more than one letdown during a feeding (more like 10 or more). Women typically only feel the first one. You could try block feeding to slow down the supply for him.

Thanks I will try that. I didn't know that we had more than one let down
