42w+ with my vba2c baby

I am currently 42w-42w 4d with my vba2c baby and starting to feel pressure (from no one other than myself) that this isn't going to happen. I have a very supportive midwife that will continue as long as I feel comfortable and the biophysical profiles look good. I just had one at 42w2d and baby passed with flying colors.

I guess I am confused as to why I am not going into labor. Is my body somehow damaged from having 2 c/s that it won't labor on its own? I have tried every natural labor induction short of sex which isn't an option. I'm very sure on my dates and 42weeks is the very earliest I could be at this point.

Any suggestions?

I was in a simular situation with my last pregnancy(#3). I was planning a HBA2C and my midwife was "very concerned and uncomfortable" that I hadn't gone into labor on my own. She said baby should be further down cervix should be making more changes(I was 80% effaced, 1cm) At 41 weeks lost my mucous plug, had bloody show, tried castor oil out of desperation which did put me into very strong contactions and never resulted in labor with a baby. I ended up having another c-section at 42w3d but only b/c when I went in for the non-stress test her heartrate was not good, low, then normal, then high, which it had never been like that before. I was extremely stressed b/c the way my midwife made it sound my body should have been doing something differently and I should be in labor by now. Well my body had never gone into labor on it's own before. I think if I had a midwife that was supportive like you it would've taken alot of stress off of me.
I think it's hard, especially when VBACing, to not pay attention to dates and not to think is this going to happen. Keep thinking positive and continue to be around only supportive people. You will go into labor, you can do it.

HANG IN THERE and TRY to be patient (I know that is a tall order when you are 42 weeks preggo). You have a supportive midwife and all seems well with baby. It is hard waiting, but your body may be able to do it. Trust yourself!
