Help. HElP me understand

I wanted to make my 4 months old son some diapers.

I need help, My son has very sensitive skin, he can't use wool, only cotton. 100% is the best. He has very bad Eczema, any fabric other than cotton will cost him broke out even more.

I need help in choosing fabric, What are my choices? I want it to be waterproof, and breathable. I have made couple of the pocket diaper with fleece as the inner fabric, and 4 layer of flannel as the shocker, I don't really know what was the outside fabric, It looks like a waterproof, but it was not. Those diapers didn't turn out very good, because the shocker not really shocking the PIPI. and he always wet his cloth.

Can I please know if there are some fabric will work for me and help me to make a good shocker.but not going to be too heavy for him to wear. I think terry cloth is too heavy if I use three layer. But I don't know much, Please give me advises.

PSf I use windpro fleece, would that be too hot for the baby, can it be breathable. My son just has very sensitives skins. The air has to go through.

Thank you.

If you can't use wool or fleece and want it to be waterproof then you are going to have to use PUL, which isn't really breathable either. I would suggest making some PUL covers, and then some all natural fiber fitteds or prefolds.

Some fabrics that you can use are organic cotton or bamboo velour, so soft. I love this against my little ones bottom. Hemp fabrics - hemp french terry, hemp fleece. Diaper flannel. Bamboo fleece, terry, or jersey. Cotton sherpa is wonderful too!

You can check out some fabrics from Very Baby - http://www.verybaby.com
I have gotten some stuff there to use.

windpro fleece can make a nice waterproof outer. Can be a little thick, but very comfy and definately usable.

The pp gave you lots of good suggestions. I'll just add my two favorite places to buy supplies: kidsinthegarden.com and naturesfabrics.com.
