For the last several months I have had a few (1-2 a week) of customers report that they tried to place an order with us and then later realized it didn't go through. This only happens to customers trying to pay via Paypal accounts (customers paying with credit cards don't have any issues even though we process CC's through Paypal as well). Best I can tell, there is some sort of error during the payment process and a charge never posts but then the order also never goes through. This is a big problem as I have customers contacting me weeks later looking for their items (turns out they were never charged either but that doesn't help much). I'm losing sales because of this and it's happening with increasing frequency.
Is anyone else having this problem? I'm noticing a similar issue when I try to use my own personal Paypal account to order from other sites (Paypal coming up an error during the transaction).
This morning I turned off Paypal as a payment method on my site. I hate to do it. I know I personally appreciate being able to pay for stuff online via Paypal but I feel like it makes us look really bad to have these transactions fail.
