Is my kid the only one like this? I've been using the Moby up to this point, and I have a RS, although I can't have both hands free with it. The Moby won't last us much longer, and I'm not sure where to go next... I was thinking an Ergo so DH could use it too (he won't use the Moby), but not sure that'll be much use without the tummy to tummy hold. Opinions?

nak
mine doesn't either. he likes to see what is going on and has decent head control for the facing out positions. i have five different carriers so far. someone gave me this infantino cozy rider and he loves that thing best as long as i face him out. it's not super cozy for me though, i was just online looking at the baby bjorns. i really don't care for my moby, it seems like a pita to me, all the fabric -i like to take my carrier off and on with ease and speed. the kangaroo carry in the ring sling is not ideal imo either. his head hits the rings and the whole carrier falls forward alot so i feel i am constantly readjusting it. so annoying. i'd also like to know what other carriers are there that allow a 9week old to face out?

Any carry where they are turned out and their legs aren't lotused/froggied is less than ideal. It works for some people, but if you wear the baby a lot etc, it's not a great plan. You are better getting them onto your back as they will still be able to see, but will have better support. I can get Keagan on my back in a mei tai, but he's still happiest in a front carry. When he's big enough for legs out carries he'll be on my back in either an SSC or a woven wrap... (can I please win the lottery so I can have them all?)
