Making a moss rug (x-posted in Arts and Crafts)

This is cool, I want to make it. I need ideas for the part that you plant the moss in (and I kinda want it to be cheap, because I am not sure if the moss will actually live in my bathroom, so I don't want it to be a huge investment, y/k).

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was thinking a large tray - but I am not sure if I need to drill holes in the bottom?

(This is also posted in Arts and Crafts - I hope that is the right thing to do... somebody there suggested cross posting it, but I am not sure if that means posting it here also, or if there is some function on MDC that allows you to post one thread in two forums... sorry if this is wrong)

That's awesome! I don't think I would like the little bits of moss on my feet though. I wouldn't do anything with holes in the bottom, you don't want water running on your floor, but you don't want to water moss that much anyway. It looked like they used some foamy stuff which would be important so that it doesn't crack when you step on it.
