Michigan defunding of circ

I talked with the director of No Circ of MI tonight and asked him how I could keep the ball rolling towards defunding of RIC.

He suggested to write a letter to Governor Granholm, being that they will review their budget in January.

I just wanted to post this here so that any other Michiganders who want to help out can also write a letter to the governor. Let's flood her mailbox!

Also, I may be testifying this spring before the legislature on why I think that RIC should be defunded.

I think it's a wonderful idea! Good luck! I wrote to the powers that be in my state and of course, nothing has happened. But a neighboring state of mine is considering dropping Medicaid funding. I hope they'll all follow suit one day!

DH and I have talked with NOCIC of MI's director also about proposing that medicaid drop circ. PM me maybe we can put our heads together.

Good for you! I hope TN drops it, we have very very limited funds for our medicaid programs here, it disgusts me to think of how much money is wasted on this disgusting "procedure."
