Did I ruin my first batch of yogurt? Would you eat it?

I got a yogurt maker finally (after temp testing my oven and crockpot and finding they ran either too hot or too cold) and made my first batch yesterday.

Well, I forgot to put it in the fridge. In fact I went to bed and left it sit all night.

It was covered and inside the unit, but probably stopped cooking 8 hours or so ago. It seems to smell okay but...

Would you eat it?

I'd still eat it. I make something called farmer's cheese sometimes. You take your yogurt and put it in a piece of cloth, and let it hang to drip all the whey out. You let it sit out draining for around 12hrs, then you can use both the whey and the firm cream cheese like farmer's cheese. I don't thinke it hurt anything sitting out all night.

* forgot to add, it may be quite a bit more tangy than if you had put it in the fridge when the cultrure time was up though

Yeah, I bet it will be firm and tangy.

Hopefully DD will like it still.
