DANG ITS COLD HERE!!! Abq December Thread !!! - Page 4

I'd blame that more just on how he acts around her, not the fact that it's his issue KWIM? E is totally fine and school yet we all know he has issues. He's just able to contain it for a bit when needed, (well and the fact that his school is really good).

Blue is she going to need more than OT and speech?

ditto emans - the other parents and teachers at C's school say that she is never trouble, helpful, quiet, contemplative etc.

That's what I was thinking Eman. He's really well behaved when dh and I aren't in the room with him, but he's also reluctant to do certain things also, so she must be seeing that and thinking he's an avoider.

I found a small (like grocery store size) bag of baby stuff for tie dying, if any of the preggos (or anyone else) is intrested. It's mostly small shirts/onesies.

Are they to small for ASF's babies? If so, then I'll take them. Otherwise she can have them and enjoy the tie dye I still have to go through all of S2's stuff from his babyhood and figure out what I need...

I didn't actually look at the sizes, it was already bagged up, but I'll put it in the car so you can check it out whenever I get out again.

Blue - good news about C getting in to OT so quickly! Hope you are able to have the Speech Therapy figured out soon too!

I guess things overall haven't been too crazy here with all the holiday hype. Crazy enough for me though. We're having a fairly low key Christmas - aside from the whole present thing. Dh's family will be coming over on the 23 for a little gathering at our house (minus MIL since she refuses to come) . But that's it for extended family for us this year. We did Thanksgiving with my family, so we won't be traveling to see them this Christmas. Dh actually has to work Christmas day, so we'll probably spend that day at the station and do our little family thing on Christmas Eve.

A year ago on one of our trips to visit my family, we brought back my old play kitchen that my Grandpa built me. Dh is finally finishing all the work that needed to be done restoring it. (To the main kitchen part anyway. The fridge is going to have to wait till her birthday.) I'm so excited to give it to dd! It's absolutely gorgeous! She's going to love it!

Hope everyone is surviving the holiday!

peace that is so cool about the kitchen!

Thanks! He finished it by lunch today and we went ahead and gave it to her. She had already caught glimpses of it and I couldn't see holding her off till christmas. Plus dh was so excited, he wanted to see her reaction.

She is having a great time playing with it! The first words out of her mouth were, "That's really cool!" It took her just a second to warm up to it, but then she went straight to pretending to cook all kinds of stuff up. I remember it was a little overwhelming for me at first too. It's kind of big as far as play kitchens go. It's so cool to be able to pass something like that down to your own kid!

Cool!! What a great gift!

Peace that is so wonderful and special.

So I went to the mall today to get $1 socks at Old Navy, Children's place was having a 50% off sale (not much left) and 5 dollar fleece, tons for girls, but real slim on boys. Gap Kids was also have a 25% off everythig sale I got E some stuff there, and M these fleece pants that are really more like leggings. Oh and Joann's has the plush fleece (what is that called) 50% off too.

What an awesome present peace! It is close enough to Solstice anyways I'm sure she will love cooking on it.
Yeah, I like that idea blue - a Solstice present!

Merry Christmas!! We are doing much better today than yesterday. For some reason C just went bonkers and was screaming to try to get, well, everything. Bedtime was needless to say horrible (DH said it was in the top 3 worst nights). Thankfully she is a teeny bit calmer today.

Hope everyone is having a CALM day!

so in the 3 months dd drank regular milk instead of organic she gained 5 pounds! holy crap! nothing else changed in her diet so it was just the hormone filled milk! eeeep! just got back from buying 3 gallons of the organic costco milk.
Yikes, that's crazy ASF!

I just skip milk together. .of all varieties. We go through a gallon of milk, maybe in a month. Thankfully our non-milk consumption made it fairly easy to transition to going dairy-free altogether when DS came along.

Wow.

Hi everyone, just wanted to pop in and say that I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

I really wish I could get to know you guys but getting to Abq. is so hard for me bc when I do go every other wk it's to run errands and by the time we are done baby is tired and cranky and I am ready to go home. You know how it is.

How are you guys handling the cabin fever since the weather's been so cold? We are going nuts!
