Disana Wool Covers

Thread Starter
My dd just received a disana wool cover from my sil for Hanukkah I thought I read somewhere that these needed to be "prepped" in order to work well??? Maybe even felted a bit??? Does anyone know and if you have these covers, can you tell me how you prepped them before use. I should add that a friend of mine has one and hers seemed soooo soft and mine seems stiff in comparison. I am not sure if hers was new or used, but there definitely was a difference. Also, now that I checked the GMD site, they have a pic of one that says "after washed and felted", so that made me think that I may need to felt it a bit, but I am scared of ruining it!!!

TIA!

I didnt felt mine, dont really even know what that is But I lanolized once and kept getting leaks. I did it a couple of times then the last time I put HEAPS of lanolin, way more than I usually would to the point the felt greasy when I took them out. Once they dried they werent very greasy and they worked perfectly. I used them for ages then and didnt need to relanolize at all. Just washed them every now and then when they needed it. So I recommend just really thoroughly lanolizing them and then you should be right.
