When is goat's milk safe for baby?

I'm just wondering when I might be able to start supplementing (a bit) with raw goat's milk? DD is 7 mo. She's just barely starting solid foods, EBF. But I like to leave a bottle when she stays with grandma for 2-3 hours, and sometimes I have trouble pumping enough, or just forget to. Can I give her half breast milk, half goat's milk??? (It's from our own goats, and what I drink.)

I would be ok with that, as long as you are comfortable with giving her raw milk, and you feel like it is clean. You said it is from your own goats, and you yourself drink it, so I am assuming you are comfortable with it. I wouldn't do it every day, and certainly, I wouldn't want it to comprise a significant portion of her diet. Obviously, you would want to watch for adverse reactions, and react accordingly. I would probably culture it first, like kefir or yogurt and thin it enough with breast milk to flow through the bottle, just to make it as easy as possible on baby's tummy.
