Tell me about your shipment policies.

Do you do anything to insure the items? Have you ever had a problem in this area?

Thanks!

I don't. Insurance is expensive and in the 15 months we've been operating, I've only had two things break and one thing lost. No way would buying insurance have been worth it for that little loss. It's cheaper for me to replace the product.

nope and nope. And besides. the things I sell are so inexpensive that it would almost be easier and less time consuming to just replace it or refund the money. Taking up a claim with the post office does not seem like an easy task.

I give the customer the choice. Most skip it. We did have one claim and it was resolved so easily - I was impressed with the USPS. You fill out a form online. I got my check in 2 days!

Wow! I would never have imagined it'd be that easy.

I'll admit my opinion of USPS is going up. They recently upgraded their tracking system and I now have my own account rep so at least I have someone to call when I have a question or a problem.

we don't either, delivery confirmation is good enough. If we have something really high $$$ we will use UPS. Other then that, of the bazillion things we ship in a year, we only lose like 5.

Yes, I get DC on everything. That is very important.

DC on everything here too. I even put a few packing peanuts in my padded envelopes so they are thick enough to qualify as packages (even when going first class) so I can have my DC nice and cheap.
